The Soup Kitchen can only fulfill its mission with the help of faithful individuals and groups from the community who kindly give of their time to serve the hungry.

Ed and Janice were eager to begin volunteering again when ​the dining room reopened for in-house dining in October 2022, ​they said. “We’ve been volunteering quite a few years, ” Ed ​said. “It was before 2015.”

Volunteers are needed ​Monday through Friday for meal preparation and setting tables from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. and to serve meals from 3:30 to 6 p.m. You can sign up for one or both shifts.

No matter how often you can serve,

Serve alone, with friends, family members or a group such as a club, class, church or other group you are part of.
